Banana and cheddar toast

4 thick slices of wholemeal bread

A little NI butter

4 medium ripe bananas, sliced

120g NI cheddar cheese, either sliced or grated

2 tablespoons maple syrup for serving

Serves 4


Preparation and cooking time: 5 minutes

Pre heat a grill to moderate.

Toast the slices of bread on both sides under a heated grill.

Spread with butter and then top with banana slices and cheddar cheese.

Either eat immediately or return to the grill for a few minutes until the cheese has melted.

Drizzle with a little maple syrup and serve.
