Sports Nutrition Seminar 2025

The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland is hosting a Sports Nutrition seminar on the 11th November at W5, Odyssey, Belfast.

Dr Oliver Witard, Reader in Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism at King’s College London will give new perspectives on protein nutrition looking at protein recommendations for endurance sports.

This will be followed by practical sports nutrition insights from Lucy Wainwright who is Women's Performance Nutrition Lead at The Football Association. Lucy will talk her role at The FA including with the Lionesses in the UEFA Women's EURO 2025.

We are also delighted to be joined by worldclass swimmers, Paralympic and Olympic gold medallists, Bethany Firth OBE and Jack McMillan. Their stellar careers continue to go from strength to strength and we are looking forward to hearing all about them in conversation with Professor Sharon Madigan.

Sharon, who is Science Lead and Head of Performance Nutrition at Sport Ireland Institute, will also chair the seminar.

It will begin at 5:30pm, with refreshments available from 4:45pm, and finish at approximately 7:30pm.
