World School Milk Day 2026

NI Pupils Show World of Love for Breaktime Milk

There was a whole world of reasons to love school milk at Whiteabbey Primary School this week as pupils celebrated World School Milk Day.

Wednesday 30th September marks the annual event which highlights the nutritional and health benefits of school milk programmes across the globe.

A refreshing carton of milk at breaktime can help quench thirst while providing a natural and nutritious boost to children's daily nutrient intake.

Each 189ml carton of school milk is rich in calcium and protein and provides growing children with iodine, potassium and phosphorus along with vitamins B2 and B12.

Find out more about the benefits of school milk and download our ‘Milk and More’ booklet on eating well throughout the school day.
