Open Letter to MLAs on Climate Change Bill

Ten organisations representing the NI Agri–food sector, including the Dairy Council for Northern Ireland, have written an Open Letter to MLAs concerning the Climate Change Private Members Bill, which will be debated in the Assembly on Monday 10th May.

The letter sets out that the Agri–food sector wants a Climate Change Bill that is evidence–based and that is subject to proper scrutiny and assessment. We need this so that as a sector we know what we have to do to contribute to the agreed climate change targets for Northern Ireland.
