The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland is hosting a sports nutrition seminar on the evening of Thursday 12th December at W5, Odyssey, Belfast.
Professor Louise Burke, Chief of Nutrition Strategy at the Australian Institute of Sport will present on ‘New ideas about calcium and bone health in athletes’.
Ruth Wood–Martin, Head of Nutrition at the IRFU will give us a practical account of fuelling the Irish team before and during the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
We will also hear from world champion boxer Kellie Harrington and Ireland rower Dr Philip Doyle on the role of nutrition in their training and performance.
The seminar will be chaired by Dr Sharon Madigan, Head of Performance Nutrition, Sport Ireland Institute.
It will begin at 5:15pm, with refreshments available from 4:30pm, and finish at approximately 7:30pm.
