Milk It – Cross Country Finals

The finals of the Ulster Schools Milk It Cross Country championships took place today at a wet and windy Mullusk playing fields.

The Dairy Council for Northern Ireland is the proud sponsor of the annual athletics championships organised by the Ulster Secondary Schools Athletics Association.

Dr Mike Johnston, Chief Executive of the Dairy Council, said:

“Congratulations to all those who took part in the Milk It Cross Country finals today in what can only be described as gruelling conditions. The competitors showed fantastic spirit and determination”

Dr Johnston added:

“Milk and school sport are a great fit and we’re delighted to be associated with this event. Our sponsorship highlights the potential role of milk in sports nutrition and for a healthy, active lifestyle”.
