Sports Nutrition Seminar

The Dairy Council is hosting a sports nutrition seminar on the evening of Thursday 18th October at the Ramada Hotel, Shaw’s Bridge, Belfast. 

Performance nutritionists Alex Popple and Dr Sharon Madigan will share their experiences of the nutritional challenges of athletes competing at the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics including for Team GB Swimming and Team Ireland Boxing and Judo.

In addition, Dr Naomi Cermak from Maastricht University will present the latest research on protein and adaptations to training including the potential role of milk. 

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Marie Murphy from the University of Ulster. 

The seminar will begin at 5.00pm and finish at 6.30pm. Please download the invitation for full programme details. 

There is no charge for this event. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and bookings should be made no later than 15th October 2012.
