Beef Brulee

500g (1lb) lean minced beef
2 onions finely chopped
1 clove of garlic
1 red pepper diced
1 green pepper diced
250ml (1/2 pt) milk
250ml 1/2 pt ) water
1 small tin of chopped tomatoes
3 tabsp chutney
seasoning
50g (2oz) porridge oats

Topping
4 medium eggs
125ml natural yogurt
50g (2oz) porridge oats
100g (4oz) grated cheddar cheese

Method
Preheat the oven to 180oC Gas 5
• In a shallow pan fry the lean minced beef until brown, add the chopped onion and garlic cook for 5 minutes.
• Add the tomato, peppers, oats, chutney, seasoning, water and milk simmer for 20 minutes. Pour the beef mix into an ovenproof dish.
• In a bowl beat together the eggs yogurt, cheese and oats and pour on top of the beef, bake for 30 minutes until golden, garnish with tomato slices and serve with salad and a baked potato.
